WALKING ON WATER

Matthew 14:25–27

In the darkness before dawn, with the disciples' boat tossed by the wind and waves, Christ came towards them — walking upon the sea.

Walking on Water captures the extraordinary stillness at the heart of one of the Gospels' most powerful miracles. Around Him, the water is restless and uncertain. Yet Christ moves through it untouched, His presence bringing calm to a scene ruled moments before by fear.

It is an image of faith in the midst of uncertainty — a reminder that even when the way ahead feels impossible, we are not abandoned to the storm.

Rendered with a timeless, painterly quality and dramatic natural light, the work draws upon the atmosphere of classical biblical painting while retaining the cinematic character of the Siloam collection. Light breaks across the water as Christ approaches, making His figure the quiet, unmistakable focus of the composition.

For the home, Walking on Water is both a statement work and a personal reminder: the storm may surround you without having the final word.

“Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.”
Matthew 14:27
